
Hola, I’m Patty Lorena Rivas.
I am a bilingual Latina artist, dedicated weaver, sound meditation facilitator, Mexica Danzante, and a lifelong student of the healing arts, born and rooted in the vibrant heart of Tongva Territory in Los Angeles, California.
Since 2020, I have walked the path of sound facilitation, witnessing firsthand the profound effects that sound can evoke within our minds, bodies, and spirits. My journey into sound meditation has been a quest to rediscover the sacred space within myself, and now, it’s a privilege to guide others on their paths to healing and inner peace. I deeply believe in our innate ability to heal when given the right tools and compassionate support.
Honoring my Oaxacan and Salvadoran roots, I have been on a journey to reconnect with my ancestral, indigenous, and earth-based traditions. I incorporate many traditional healing modalities into my sound journeys and healing work.
In today’s fast-paced world, self-care is essential. Sound meditation, an ancient practice using specific frequencies and vibrations, offers a sanctuary for relaxation, stress reduction, and holistic well-being.

What is Sound Healing?
Sound healing is a holistic practice that harnesses the power of sound frequencies to promote healing and relaxation for the body, mind, and spirit. It operates on the principle that everything in the universe, including our bodies, vibrates at a unique frequency. When these frequencies become imbalanced, it can result in stress, illness, and discomfort. Sound healing aims to restore harmony by using various sound techniques to realign these frequencies.
The sounds used in this practice resonate with different parts of the body, helping to release tension, clear energy blockages, and induce deep relaxation. Sound healing sessions can vary, from individual to group experiences, where participants lie down or sit comfortably, allowing themselves to be immersed in sound vibrations. Every sound practitioner brings their unique approach; I often incorporate additional modalities such as guided meditation, breathwork, and energy healing techniques to enrich the experience. Honoring my indigenous roots, I include traditional native flutes, rattles, drums, songs, copal smoke offerings, and limpias/cleansings in my sound bath sessions.
Many people report experiencing a profound sense of calm, balance, and rejuvenation after participating in sound healing.
